Private money transfers to Armenia in 10 months of 2023 amount to AMD 1.9 trillion
YEREVAN, December 20. /ARKA/. Private money transfers sent to Armenia through the banks in the first 10 months of 2023 amounted to AMD 1.9 trillion, up from AMD 1.7 trillion, sent in the same time span of 2022, the Central Bank said.
Money transfers from the Russian Federation amounted to AMD 1.3 trillion, up from AMD 1.2 trillion in the same period last year. Money transfers from the U.S. decreased to AMD 211.8 billion from AMD 243.5 billion in January-October last year.
Private money transfers from Armenia to other countries through the banks amounted to AMD 1.3 trillion, up from AMD 873.3 billion in the first 10 months of 2022
Money transfers from Armenia to the Russian Federation in January-October 2023 amounted to AMD 215.9 billion, up from AMD 149.6 billion drams in the same period last year, and money transfers from Armenia to the USA grew to AMD 145.8 billion from AMD 104.3 billion drams in the first 10 months of 2022.
Thus, net cross-border money transfers in the first ten months of 2023 dropped to AMD 568.4 billion from AMD 881.6 billion in January-October 2022. -0-
