YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. The 4th annual international Capital Markets Armenia conference, dedicated to the development of the capital market of the Republic of Armenia and its integration into the international financial system, is underway in Yerevan.
Cbonds founder Sergey Lyalin reported that more than 250 people have registered to participate in the conference, including from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and regional financial centers such as Cyprus, the UAE, and other countries.
The event brings together representatives of regulators, commercial banks, investment and management companies, industrial enterprises, international financial organizations, rating agencies, and infrastructure institutions.
Ararat Mkrtchyan, founder and CEO of the investment company Sirius Capital, noted that Armenia is no longer a small market, but a regional financial center.
"Educated human capital, regional relationships, and trusted financial institutions come together here," he said.
Olga Omelchenko, Deputy CEO of Wilco Wealth Management, noted that Armenia has been developing particularly dynamically in recent years and is becoming prominent on the financial map of the larger region.
"We welcome events where people come together, share experiences, and find new partnerships," she said.
According to Eva Balasanyan, Founder and Managing Partner of NABIX, many of the participants are building the region's financial market.
"Three years ago, the market was just emerging; it was challenging in places, but very promising. Over the past three years, I've seen rapid development, with bold and strong leaders of financial and technology companies who are now shaping the new architecture of the region and Armenia as a financial center," she said.
Balasanyan is confident that it is at conferences like these that new ideas are born, which transform into new companies and business opportunities.
"Today, Armenia is becoming a hub for technology and AI, a bridge for access to international financial instruments," she added.
The forum traditionally serves as a professional platform for discussing strategic development directions for Armenia's financial sector and expanding international investment cooperation.
The discussion will focus on macroeconomic results for 2025, economic growth prospects for 2026, the development of the domestic capital market, increasing the country's investment attractiveness, as well as the transformation of global financial markets and the implementation of digital solutions in market infrastructure.
The conference program includes:
— Plenary session "Armenia's Economy and Financial System: Results for 2025 and Prospects for 2026"
— Armenia 2026: Domestic Capital Market, Infrastructure, and Investment Attractiveness
— Global Financial Markets: Opportunities for Investors in 2026
