IDBank and Idram conducted financial literacy course for children in the Lori region
YEREVAN, April 7. /ARКА/. IDBank and Idram have organized a financial literacy course for children residing in the village of Vahagni and nearby areas in the Lori region. Through this initiative, 60 children and teenagers acquired comprehensive insights into the financial sector, savings, and responsible financial practices.
In February, the NGO "Matemik" was chosen as a beneficiary of the "Power of One Dram" initiative. Consequently, the organization received 4,644,456 drams, enabling it to enhance its current programs, including the ongoing construction of a Volunteer Center in Vahagni. This center will host invited specialists who will conduct educational seminars for the residents of Vahagni and surrounding villages.
Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Social Responsibility Programs at IDBank and Idram, stated that both companies, whether in Yerevan or the regions, are dedicated to improving financial and digital literacy among children and adolescents:
"The meeting was held in an active and productive atmosphere. We observe a growing interest among children in the financial sector, which serves as a strong motivation for us to pursue such initiatives," she remarked.
Tigran Arushanyan, Director of the 'Matemik' NGO, emphasized: "Such programs are critically important to us. We greatly appreciate our collaboration with IDBank and Idram. This exemplifies social responsibility, enabling us not only to continue the construction of the Volunteer Center but also to equip children with essential knowledge in financial literacy."
IDBank and Idram are actively pursuing the "Financial Literacy with Idram and IDBank" initiative, which focuses on community development and enhancing the financial and digital literacy of the population.
