Government reduces cost of cash registers substantially

Following a meeting with the head of the State Revenue Committee David Ananyan today Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said new generation cash registers will be provided to trade outlets at 60,000 drams, down from the previously announced price of 160,000 drams.
YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Following a meeting with the head of the State Revenue Committee David Ananyan today Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said new generation cash registers will be provided to trade outlets at 60,000 drams, down from the previously announced price of 160,000 drams.
Pashinyan said the decision is prompted by numerous complaints of owners of stores. He specified that the decision applies to those trade outlets, for whom the installment of new generation cash register became mandatory from January 1.
Pashinyan added that the previous option of paying for cash registers by installments in two years will remain in effect. “In fact, about 25 thousand SMEs will use this opportunity,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The prime minister specified that those entities that have already acquired new-generation cash registers for 160 thousand drams will be invited to the State Revenue Committee for recalculation.
Pashinyan said also that the government’s monopoly on import and sale of cash registers will soon be abolished, and citizens will be able to acquire them not only from state non-commercial organizations, but also from others. . ($1 - 487.44 drams). -0-
