Government approves investment for infrastructure program

YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved today the investment for infrastructure program designed to assist investors.

"This program aims to help all investors solve their infrastructure problems. Many of them who build factories, hotels and make other investments face infrastructure problems, be it roads, water and gas supply. With these measures, we encourage investors by providing them with infrastructural support," said Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan.

Under the program, in case of an investment up to 500 million drams, the government will provide 20% of the necessary infrastructure. If the investment is more than 500mln, the additional assistance will amount to 10% of the investment exceeding 500mln.

In his turn, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan explained that the government will invest these sums in the infrastructure in order to facilitate business people. Assistance to investors will be allocated by separate decisions of the government, he said. ($1 - 404.93 AMD) -0-
