French Sodial explores chances of joint projects in Armenia

Armenia’s Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan told a delegation of the French company Sodial today that his ministry was ready to assist it in the implementation of joint projects in Armenia and help resolve potential problems.
YEREVAN, February 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan told a delegation of the French company Sodial today that his ministry was ready to assist it in the implementation of joint projects in Armenia and help resolve potential problems.
According to Anik Bhat, the sales director of the French company, Sodial is one of the leading manufacturers of dairy products in France, holding more than 25% of the milk procurement market.
According to him, Sodial wishes to explore the possibilities of Armenia with a view to expanding its activities. He said the company is not yet represented in this region. "Armenia is of interest to us, as it is a window to a larger Eurasian Economic Union’s market," said Bhat.
Bhat said also that Sodial is ready to share its experience in creating and operating cooperatives with Armenian partners. He said he and other representatives of Sodial have already held a number of meetings with manufacturers in Armenia.
According to the National Statistics Committee, milk production in Armenia in 2018 declined by almost 8% from the previous year to 425.3 million liters. -- 0--
