YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. All buses that transport passengers from Armenia to Russia will have to set out only from bus terminals, the press service of the ministry of transport, communications and information technology said today.
The ministry urged the citizens to buy tickets only at ticket offices at bus terminals and use the services of companies operating regular passenger travels, as they are of higher quality and, most importantly, are safe. Tickets can be purchased at all branches of the company Hayavtokayaran in Yerevan and in other regions, according to deputy minister Aram Arsenyan.
The ministry said companies that carry out non-regular passenger travels should transport only tourist groups.
"Those companies that have so far acted outside the law are offered to bring their activities in line with the current procedure, otherwise they will be subject to administrative liability measures," he said.
Earlier, the ministry announced a tender for 12 regular routes to Russia. Twenty companies took part in the competition, of which 11 were selected. They were the companies that have buses meeting all the standards and also experienced drivers. -0-
