Armenian textile companies secured 400 million drams worth orders

Armenian textile companies that took part in an international exhibition of textile and light industry products and equipment "TextilLegProm" last February in Russia secured 400 million drams (about $835,000) worth orders, the press service of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) reported.

YEREVAN, August 30. /ARKA/. Armenian textile companies that took part in an international exhibition of textile and light industry products and equipment "TextilLegProm" last February in Russia secured 400 million drams (about $835,000) worth orders, the press service of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) reported. It said the number of orders increases after each such exhibition.

It said also six light industry companies are representing Armenia with a single pavilion at the 49th "TextileLegProm" fair that opened on Wednesday in Moscow, Russia. Armenia is participating in this fair for the fifth time.

The fair is the largest in Russia, held twice a year. It is housed in 9 halls with a total area of 40 thousand square meters. Some 200 companies from 28 countries are taking part in it. The fair is expected to be visited by more than 35 thousand visitors, wholesale buyers, industry experts, representatives of trade networks and importers. -0-

The Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) is Armenia’s National Authority for Investment, Export and Tourism promotion.

The DFA provides in depth services to foreign investors including the provision of requisite information on Armenia’s business climate, investment opportunities and relevant legislation, ground support in organizing site visits for investors, management of post-visit support, assistance with investment project implementation, business introductions, as well as liaison with governmental institutions. The DFA also provides after-care investment services to investors already established in Armenia. -0-
