Armenian minister and Lufthansa representatives discussed cooperation prospects
YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan discussed August 11 the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and German airline Lufthansa with the airline’s representatives in Yerevan.
According to the press service of the ministry, the sides looked into the possibility of opening a Lufthansa transport hub in Armenian Gyumri and the possibility of operating flights from Gyumri's Shirak airport.
Kerobyan, stressing the intensification of Armenia-Germany business ties, spoke about the wide opportunities and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.
Presenting the tourism markets that are important for Armenia, he pointed to the state policy aimed at improving the quality in this area. The sides also had an exchange of views on the organization of joint marketing campaigns between the two countries to enhance tourist flows.
Lufthansa representatives noted that Armenia is a preferred destination for many German tourists, therefore they are interested in using the opportunity to attract tourist flows in the direction of Armenia and are ready to cooperate in organizing and implementing marketing campaigns.
Earlier it was reported that on August 13, 2021, Lufthansa (part of the Lufthansa Group) will start operating flights from Frankfurt to Yerevan and back three times a week. In the future, the airline will launch new flights from the Armenian capital to Vienna, Brussels, Cologne and Bonn.--0--
