Armenian government to categorize licenses for construction companies
YEREVAN, December 18. /ARKA/. The Armenian government will introduce categorization of licenses for urban development activities, Deputy Chairman of the Urban Development Committee David Grigoryan said today, presenting new licensing requirements for construction companies.
"This is a very important change. Previously, a construction license was of one type," Grigoryan told a press conference.
According to him, now there will be licenses of 3 or 2 classes - depending on the level determining the scope of the construction company's activity. At the same time, newly established construction organizations will only be able to apply for a license of a lower category.
"From today, all our construction companies applying for licenses will have to comply with the new rules and changes in legislation. Licensed companies will have to be re-licensed within 9 months, i.e. until September 16, 2024," Grigoryan said.
According to him, the licensing process is carried out digitally through the urban.e-gov.am platform.
Grigoryan added that the changes will also affect the licensing process for civil engineers - previously they were licensed for an indefinite period, but now – they will have to seek license once every 5 years. --0--
