YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian government is going to extend on Thursday for one year its earlier decision that exempts imports of e-vehicles from customs duties, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said on Wednesday.

He said the decision will be sent to parliament for approval He added that the extension is likely to be the last one.

‘In the near future we are going to develop a more detailed regulation of the issue, which will involve also imports of hybrid cars,’ he said.

In particular, he noted that the issue of disposal of electric cars should be regulated, as this process differs from the disposal of cars with internal combustion engines.

He said also that if production of electric cars is launched in the EEU, it will be difficult to maintain benefits in the future. -0-
