Armenia's Urban Development Committee eyes fast-built housing program

YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. The Armenian Urban Development Committee and representatives of a number of private Armenian and Iranian manufacturers and importers of building materials that use new technologies, discussed a fast-built housing program.

The senior officials of the Committee were eager to learn about such issues as these companies' production capacities and the potential and the amount of time required for fast-building a house.

A more detailed study of the capabilities of these companies is supposed to help the Committee assess the amount of parts and structures necessary for building a house that can be produced and, the available resources, as well as the timeframe.

For this purpose, various technological solutions and proposals are being considered, including thin-walled steel frames, 3D panels, prefabricated reinforced concrete and others.

The participants of the meeting spoke in detail about the organization of construction of fast-building houses, presented their ideas for joint organization of work. It was decided that in the near future they will submit their calculations to the Committee. --0--
