Armenia ratifies agreement on services, trade and investment with Singapore

The National Assembly of Armenia has ratified today the agreement on services, trade and investment with Singapore.
YEREVAN, May 11. /ARKA/. The National Assembly of Armenia has ratified today the agreement on services, trade and investment with Singapore.
Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan said the agreement regulates economic cooperation between the two parties, and also contributes to the growth of economic activity and the creation of favorable investment environment.
According to him, this agreement is part of a major agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Singapore, however, to speed up the process, each EEU member country has the opportunity to conclude a similar agreement with Singapore separately, and Armenia is the only country so far that has done this, while the rest of EEU members are at the negotiation stage.
The agreement was signed during a visit to Yerevan by Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on October 1, 2019. -0-
