YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. The Armenian National Assembly's Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved a legislative initiative to establish a state duty on a number of services in the aviation area, which are supposed to generate 150 million drams of tax revenues per year.

"Currently, the Armenian Civil Aviation Committee, along with regulatory and control functions, provides a number of services for which neither state duty nor fees are charged," Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan said while presenting a package of amendments to the Law on State Duty and a number of related laws.

According to him, in the process of studying international experience, the Civil Aviation Committee found that in a number of countries similar services are provided on a fee basis.

Thus, the government proposes to establish a state duty for 13 types of services on the principle of man-hour. This takes into account the actual working time spent to perform the said service, as well as the resources used, the nature of the service. -0-
