Armenia and Iran discussing possible zeroing of "road tax" - MP
YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. Armenian and Iranian officials are considering the possibility of zeroing the “road tax,” Sisak Gabrielyan, an MP from the ruling My Step alliance, said during an extraordinary meeting of the parliament on Wednesday.
According to him, at the moment Iranian cargo trucks pay the so-called “road tax” in the amount of $300 for traveling in the territory of Armenia. However, he did not say how much Armenian cargo truck drivers pay for traveling in the territory of Iran.
“Currently, active negotiations are underway between the countries on the possibility of reducing this tax, zeroing it or removing it altogether within the framework of an interstate agreement,” Gabrielyan said.
