YEREVAN, April 6. /ARKA/. Armenia and France are ready to take practical steps to implement the agreements reached to expand bilateral cooperation in tax administration, Armenian State Revenue Committee Chairman Rustam Badasyan said at a meeting with French Ambassador to Armenia Anne Louyot.

They were said to have spoken about a tax administration support project, implemented by Expertise France in Armenia with the support of the French Development Agency.

Badasyan and Anne Louyot discussed also other issues of bilateral interest, saying that the available legal framework related to tax and customs administration provides a good opportunity to actively cooperate at the bilateral level and on international platforms.

In March 2018, the French Development Agency and the Ministry of Finance of Armenia concluded a 500,000 euro grant agreement to promote tax reforms in Armenia.

In July 2019, in accordance with the agreement concluded between Armenian State Revenue Committee and Expertise France, a technical support program was launched, aiming to promote the implementation of Armenia's tax administration strategy in 2020-2024. -0-
