Ameriabank team wins Virtual Banking competition in the Netherlands

Ameriabank’s team was named the winner of the 8th Virtual Banking contest, an international competition among banks.
YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Ameriabank’s team was named the winner of the 8th Virtual Banking contest, an international competition among banks. The final stage of the competition was held on November 23 in The Hague, the Yerevan-based bank said in a press release.
It said the competition is designed to choose a bank that manages risks, as well as the assets and liabilities most effectively. The purpose of the event is to promote financial and banking sector-related knowledge, to improve the professional level of bank staff, to encourage exchange of alternative and innovative knowledge and international experience.
The competition was organized by the SimArch Group as part of the educational financial and banking portal. It was funded by the International Development Bank of the Netherlands FMO, KfW Bankengruppe and the financial development agency PROPARCO DEG Finance.
The award ceremony was hosted by the head office of the FMO. The second place was taken by the Supervielle team from Argentina, the third – by Ficohsa (Honduras), and the fourth – by Bancop SA (Paraguay).
In total, 30 banks from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and Central Asia took part in the competition.
