Ameriabank's retail deposit portfolio exceeded 1.03 trillion drams for the first time as of June 30, 2026, reported Arman Barseghyan, Ameriabank's Director of Retail Banking.
YEREVAN, July 28. /ARKA/. Ameriabank's retail deposit portfolio exceeded 1.03 trillion drams for the first time as of June 30, 2026, reported Arman Barseghyan, Ameriabank's Director of Retail Banking.
"In particular, the term deposit portfolio has grown by 19% since the beginning of the year, reaching 423 billion drams. The demand deposit portfolio has increased by 18%, reaching 446 billion drams," Barseghyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.
According to him, the highest growth rates are being recorded for demand deposits and dram deposits.
Barseghyan attributed the growth of dram deposits to the strengthening of the national currency, as well as the fact that, in his opinion, clients consider storing funds in dram more profitable.
He also called the de-dollarization of the economy a positive trend.
