The state-owned Mubadala Investment Company of Abu Dhabi is interested in the investment potential of Armenia, High-Tech Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan told reporters on Wednesday.

YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/ The state-owned Mubadala Investment Company of Abu Dhabi is interested in the investment potential of Armenia, High-Tech Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan told reporters on Wednesday.

He said senior representatives of the company will visit Armenia to participate in the World Congress on Information Technologies (WCIT 2019), which is to be held on October 6-9 in Armenia.

"They were interested to learn more about Armenia's investment potential after a meeting in Silicon Valley with their chief expert in technology research, where the potential of our country was presented," Arshakyan said.

According to him, after the meeting, the company decided to dispatch a large delegation to Armenia.
"At the moment, we are working to create a platform for them so that Armenian startups can present what investment opportunities Armenia has," Arshakyan said.

Mubadala is a global investment company with a mandate to create sustainable financial returns, furthering its shareholder's strategic objective of a globally integrated and diversified economy. It was established in 2002 as the Abu Dhabi National Welfare Fund.

The goal and objectives of the holding company is to increase and preserve the national capital of Abu Dhabi. The company carries out investment projects in 30 countries and 13 industries such as aerospace, IT, semiconductors, metallurgy and mining, renewable energy and utilities, development, and the management of various financial assets. --0—
