Office of prosecutor general slams media outlets for spreading false reports about arrest of wealthy businessman

Armenia’s Prosecutor General's Office has slammed today a number of media outlets for ‘consistently disseminating’ misinformation about a wealthy Armenian businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan, who was remanded in pre-trial custody on corruption charges in early October.

Wealthy Armenian businessman accused of conspiracy in bribery

A wealthy Armenian businessman, Samvel Mayrapetyan, reportedly having close business connections with ex-president Robert Kocharyan, arrested by the Special Investigative Service on October 7, was formally accused today of complicity in bribery, Marina Ohanjanyan, spokeswoman for the Special Investigation Service, said.
