Head of Caucasus Institute in Yerevan says Armenian PM had to order dispatch of 70 troops to Kazakhstan to show his loyalty to CSTO and Russia
Aleksandr Iskandaryan, the director of the Caucasus Institute in Yerevan, said today that Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who holds the rotating chairmanship in the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), had to order the dispatch of as many as 70 Armenian troops to Kazakhstan as part of a CSTO peacekeeping contingent ‘because he needs to demonstrate loyalty to Russia and the CSTO.”
