Cisco stands ready to deliver communication services in Armenia

YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. Cisco stands ready to offer a myriad of communication solutions to Armenian consumers, said Pavel Burba, head of the Cisco representation in Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Belarus.

“Companies spend more money than any IT manufacturer when developing technical innovations, which give productive commercial results,” Burba was quoted as saying at a portable phone numbers presentation in Armenia. “The company stands ready to deliver various communication services in Armenia,” he continued.

The company’s networks offer full-range voice communication services, video, cable and content delivery.

A group of Stanford University students established Cisco in 1984. The company offers network systems solutions, including real-time applications, such as voice and delivery, as well as security systems, LAN (Local Area Network) connection, SAN (Storage Area Network), video systems, home networks and other services.

Cisco is one of the world’s most expensive brands ($19.1bln).

The company entered the CIS market in 1995. It has more than 200 offices across 96 countries with 65,000 workers. In the fiscal year of 2008, Cisco invested $5.2bln in innovations. The company comprises 70% of the global switching services and covers 60% of the wireless communications market. Z. Sh.—0--
