Median nominal wage in Armenia in 2009 grew by 9.8% to 101,895 drams

YEREVAN, January 26, /ARKA/. The median nominal wage in Armenia in 2009 grew by 9.8% from the preceding year to 101,895 Drams, the country’s National Statistical Service said.

According to its provisional figures, the median wage in public sector grew by 15.5% from a year before to 84.845 Drams. It also grew by 32.8% percent in 2009 December from the preceding month.

Median wage in private sector rose by 5.3% as opposed to 2008 to 126,407 Drams. It also grew by 24% in 2009 December from November. Overall, in 2009 December the median wage grew by 27.5% from November. ($1 – 377.75 Drams).-0-
