YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Egypt has introduced a visa-free regime for the tourists of eight countries, which are considered as “non-traditional markets” for Egyptian tourism, Al-Ahram newspaper quotes the Tourism Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour on Tuesday.

“The list of the countries, the citizens of which can now receive Egyptian visas just by passing the border, including those in airports, include three Maghreb countries (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia), Jordan, Turkey, China and Azerbaijan,” the minister said.
Visa-free regime is established only for “organized” tourists, recommended by the tourism agencies which will be responsible for them on the territory of Egypt, according to him.

Currently, such opportunity is already enjoyed by tourists from a number of European states and Americas, including Russia.
Four million tourists visited Egypt within the first four months of this year, which is 18 % less from the pre-revolutionary 2010, he added.

Egypt intends to welcome 14 million foreigners in the new fiscal year that will start on July 1, and 25 million tourists in five years, RIA Novosti reports.—0—
