Armavia to obtain second SSJ 100 named after Frunzik Mkrtchyan
YEREVAN, June 21. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national air carrier Armavia is getting ready to obtain another EK95016 Sukhoi Superjet -100 aircraft, avia.ru reports referring to Spectr Avia OJSC.
The aircraft will carry a name of a great Soviet actor of Armenian origin Frunzik Mkrtchyan.
It is already the second aircraft obtained by Armavia. The first Sukhoi Superjet was named after the first astronaut Yuri Gagarin and delivered to the company in 2011.
The new aircraft of 95021 series number has 95 seats manufactured by Sukhoi company in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and traditionally painted at Spectr Avia Ulyanovks enterprise.
Spectr Avia OJSC, Russian company, operates in painting aircrafts of all types starting with CRJ-200 and ending with Airbus A330, Boeing 747, Ан-124-100 “Ruslan.”
Currently, Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft is exploited by two companies- Armavia and Aeroflot- Russian airlines. The first SSJ-100 ( serial number 95007, registration number EK-95015) has already reported 1000 flight hours.
Armavia was founded in 1996 and meets IATA criteria . Today it operates over 100 flights a week to over 40 destinations in 20 countries.-0-
