Armenia’s national air carrier, Armavia brought today another 104 ethnic Armenians from the war-torn Aleppo in Syria, home to the largest Armenian community in this country.

YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national air carrier, Armavia brought today another 104 ethnic Armenians from the war-torn Aleppo in Syria, home to the largest Armenian community in this country.

The press service of the national carrier said an additional flight launched from Yerevan to Aleppo and back took five people to Syria today and brought 104 passengers.

It said Armenian children flown from Syria to their ancestors’ land are spending their holidays at a local summer camp as part of a special program launched by the government in Yerevan.  The program was designed to host some 400 young Syrian Armenians for a two week rest at the camp.

Most of the Armenians live in Aleppo (over 60 thousand people), Damascus, Latakia and other cities. -0-
