YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Armenia intends to open its embassy in Indonesia, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan told his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa on his visit to Asian-Pacific states, August 8-15.
“I want to inform you about Armenia’s intent to open its embassy in Indonesia, a country that plays an important role in South-East Asia. It will give additional impetus to our relations developing them significantly,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quotes Nalbandyan.
FM of Indonesia, on his side, welcomed Armenia’s intent highlighting the Indonesian authorities will support Armenians in the efforts to open an embassy in Jakarta.
At the meeting the sides also signed an intergovernmental agreement on economic, academic and technical cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Indonesia.
The foreign ministers also discussed the cooperation between Commerce Chambers of the two countries as well as further collaboration. —0--
