Armenia’s total debt amounts to about $4 billion, Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s total debt amounts to about $4 billion, Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said on Tuesday.

“Domestic debt amounts to about $0.5 billion and foreign debt to about $3.4 billion,” he said.

The minister said that liabilities to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank constitute the major part of the country’s debt.

Armenia’s foreign debt has grown by $65 million since the beginning of this year reaching $633 million by early April.

Nevertheless, Armenia remains among countries with medium-size state debts.-0-
