 Center for promotion of Armenian crops to invest some 40 billion drams in construction of greenhouses

YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today the investment program of the Center for Promotion of Armenian Crops which has pledged to invest some 40 billion drams in the construction of greenhouses in Yerevan within the next three years.

The government supported a proposal to sell 69.83 hectares of land owned by the Yerevan community to the company for building greenhouse by latest technologies in an area close to Noragavit neighborhood.

The project is expected to create 1,500-2000 jobs.

"This is a qualitatively new program with new approaches and financial mechanisms. Thanks to public-private sector cooperation, we create an opportunity for various private companies to invest and participate in the development of greenhouses in Armenia. There are international partners, which bring to Armenia the best European experience. This will help extend the positive experience and create thousands of new jobs," prime minister Tigran Sarkisian said. ($1 - 391.87 drams).  -0-
