Armenian-Austrian economic and political ties expected to get a push

The presidents of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Austria, Heinz Fischer, praised the outcome of Armenian-Austrian talks in Yerevan held as part of Austrian president’s official visit to Armenia, Sargsyan’s press service reported.
YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA /. The presidents of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Austria, Heinz Fischer, praised the outcome of Armenian-Austrian talks in Yerevan held as part of Austrian president’s official visit to Armenia, Sargsyan’s press service reported.
During the Wednesday farewell ceremony the parties said they believe that the outcome of negotiations will give a new push to acceleration of Armenian-Austrian political dialogue and economic cooperation. President Serzh Sargsyan thanked the Austrian president for his country’s well-balanced stance on the problems of the South Caucasus.
The Austrian leader and his wife Margit Fischer arrived in Yerevan on Monday on an official visit at the invitation of Serzh Sargsyan.
The two presidents participated also in the Armenian-Austrian business forum, in which three agreements were signed: Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry o Armenia and the Economic Chamber of Austria, a low interest loan agreement signed by Armenian finance ministry and Raiffeisen Bank and an agreement with Siemens for the joint construction of steel-making enterprise in Armenia. -0-
