Armenia comes the 7th in inflation rate among CIS members

YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. The CIS Statistics Committee reported one of the lowest inflations in Armenia at 0.8% in May of this year fr om December of 2001 among the other Commonwealth countries.

According to the data, consumer prices in Armenia shrank by 1.3% in May from April of this year.

All CIS members reported an inflation at an average of 2% in May from December of 2011 except for Azerbaijan wh ere consumer prices fell by 0.8% within this period.

The highest inflation was seen in Belarus- 8.5%, Kazakhstan-2.4%, Russia- 2.3%. Tajikistan- 2.3%. Kyrgyzstan-1.3%, Moldova-1.2% and Ukraine- 0.4%.
